Welcome to Ursa Major! We believe anything’s possible in life when you look and feel your best. So we try to make healthy choices about how we live, what we eat and what we put on our skin, our body’s largest organ. Choices that minimize exposure to synthetic chemicals while harnessing nature’s abundant power to nourish and restore.
We created Ursa Major (‘The Great Bear’) to provide men with a healthy and highly effective skin care solution that’s also a real pleasure to use – a robust, natural alternative to the bland, chemical-intensive and unsustainable products that pervade today’s marketplace.
Our advanced formulations artfully blend nature’s most effective and luxurious ingredients to provide rich textures, robust aromas and unbeatable performance. That’s why we call them ‘super natural’. The result is clear, healthy skin – and a kick in your step – so you can get out there and ‘live major’.

Living Major
After 10+ years living/working in NYC, we decided to hoof it to Vermont two years ago to launch Ursa Major and get closer to the outdoors. We both love the city, so it was a big leap. Leading up to our move north, we would talk often about the things we felt were really important in life. Again and again the same themes would emerge:
- To live simply but well
- To make the most of every day
- To be aware, courageous and true
- To stay healthy and strong
In time we began calling this approach to life ‘living major’ and it’s a big part of what we’re trying to do with The Great Bear. Check out the photos on our Facebook page to get a better feel for what we mean.
